What could be better than just sitting back and relaxing at home, while other people do your work for you? That's the crux of Multi-level Marketing. In Multi-level, the person or company that has a product doesn't sell it. Rather, they recruit other people - called distributors, associates, consultants or independent agents - who do all the work, and get paid commission based on how much product they sell.
Done correctly, this can lead to substantial earnings for both business owner and its distributors. The key of course is to do it correctly. The most important thing for a business, of course, is to get its "downline" - its distributors, to both buy into the product and represent it properly to potential customers.
To do this, you've got to advertise. MLM advertising is pretty easy these days, actually, and pretty inexpensive. That's because people are taking advantage of that great boon to mankind - in so many ways, the internet.
In order to do MLM advertising on the internet, people need to take advantage of two tools - the blog and the website.
A blog is necessary, because a blog can be updated on a daily basis. This keeps it in the forefront of the search engines, which is always a good place to be. And the blog of course has links to the website, which is where potential customers go to either become an affiliate of the business, or to purchase whatever it is the business is selling!
Indeed, that's one of the problems with Multi-level marketing. A lot of time and effort is spent in getting that "downline" - the people who will go out and sell the product, but not enough effort is given to actually help the worker bees sell that product. That's why it's important for distributors and agents..whatever you want to call them - to have their own websites and blogs to help them sell the product.
